"Aren't I loathed to an extreme degree?"
"I'm Yumiella Dolkness, pleased to make your acquaintance...
" Yumiella Dolkness

Yumiella Dolkness (ユミエラ・ドルクネス Yumiera Dorukunesu), is the main protagonist in Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I'm Not the Demon Lord (Akuyaku Reijō Reberu 99: Watashi wa Ura Bosudesuga Maō de wa Arimasen), the eldest daughter of Count Dolkness. Originally, she was the villainous daughter (a minor role) in the otome game "Hikari no Mahou to Yuusha-sama" and a character who stands in front of the heroine as a back boss in the challenging elements after clearing the main story.

However, in the story, she is a "reincarnated person with memories of her life as a college girl who was a hardcore Japanese gamer" and as she acts to protect her destruction, she unintentionally shakes those around her.

Appearance.[]

Yumiella has fair skin and black eyes. Her face shows no real emotions, and her hair color is black, which is why she was excluded. Yumiella's hair grows down to her hips and she wears her hair open. She has bangs and two long strands which go down from both sides to her chest.

Yumiella wears the girls' uniform of the Royal Academy and wears light brown knee socks, a brown skirt and a white shirt that gets pleated. She wears a red vest cape with white cuffs for the frilly hem and black mary jane shoes.

In her free time, she wears a simple dress that consists of a white shirt at the top and a brown material at the bottom that is shaped like a dress.

Personality.[]

Yumiella has the mystical Boss aura is stoic with a phlegmatic facial expression, which often leads others to be scared and distance themselves from her. Despite black hair being seen as a sign of evil in her country, Yumiella remains logical and approaches situations with a smart and unusual way of thinking that others may not consider or fear. She may has problems with mutual social interaction and exchange (e.g. understanding and building relationships) but she's still a resourceful and smart problem-solver, finding creative solutions to the challenges she faces. Although rational she is, her ego can easily overshadow this when her level capacity is mocked or belittled(e.g. When she was mocked by Alicia for being level "13" in volume 4 and when the first king of Valshein belittled her physical capabilities in volume 6) which results in her transforming into something the world would consider as the end of the world that lacks to the capacity to be reason with.

Abilities & Skills.[]

Due to her prior knowledge of the game and being born with Dark Magic, she was able to easily raise her level to 99, something unheard of by the norm. As mentioned above, she has reached the highest level, making him the strongest in the world in terms of both physics and magic. Due to her determination to escape her death and able to defeat the demon king, Eumiellia read the magical textbook in the library and started practicing by feeling the magical power according to the procedure of the book. And she mastered the dark magic. Because of her method of using the Demon Summoning Flute, she can go to level 99.

After she talked to a version herself (Yumiera Dolkness 2) who was supposedly influenced by the Evil God—Kugelschreiber—who's also the caretaker of the multiverse/tree, Yumiella 2 was able to pursue Yumiella 1 to devise a plan against the evil god with the reason being Yumiella not wanting to be Kugelschreiber's pawn, although they won, the cost was her parallel self sacrificing herself to break the level limit into an unknown level (Can't be determined due to vague information—Kugelschreiber says that she has broke the world order by grinding levels too much in which the excess exp points weren't allocated to her but to a virtual space to preserve order but it wasn't clarified in volume 3 how much exp points she had in that virtual space). She is capable of surviving in space, and she can manipulate time by using Elixirs. She can also wield the sacateur or blade from a higher echelon made to manage all parallel universes, named "Keep Living".

Due to being Level 99, she gained resistance to abnormality status. Due to her Super Boss-level stats, Yumiella has to hold back immensely when pitted against other people in training scenarios.

  • The first example is when she is matched with William in a practice spar. Yumiella has to ensure that she does not immediately render him into "mincemeat" in a single hit.
  • The second is when she is challenged by Edwin and the headmaster to demonstrate her power as a Level 99. Yumiella has to modulate the power of her Black Hole spell so that it would be impressive without causing a calamity to the kingdom.
  • A more distant example is during the Tournament Arc. Yumiella has to carefully regulate her strength because breaking her weapon is immediate grounds for disqualification. And she has yet to encounter a weapon that could withstand her full force for more than a few swings. (Yumiella almost breaks her sword while facing William during the swordsmanship finals but quickly breaks his sword into pieces to hide it. Despite her movements being so quick that the normal human eye couldn't detect it, Captain Adolf and Patrick caught her, but she isn't disqualified.)

Yumiella is the best in academics and has magical and physical abilities. Excluding her social skills, there is nothing she doesn't excel at.

Officially, Yumiella unlocked ridiculous mastery of dark magic and strength basically through The Power of Hate, but the Yumiella in the story thinks that's bullshit. She believes that Yumiella could always use dark magic and always had that kind of talent, but couldn't show it off due to the negative reputation dark magic possesses, and her resentment towards the heroine having everything, in contrast, led her to become the Super Boss. She proves her point by power leveling from an early age and not bothering to hide her magic. This doubly proves her point: She is discriminated against and she didn't need any kind of dramatic power-up ability.

《Dark Magic》
She was reborn as the villainous daughter, in the world of an Otome RPG game. Even so, she was the last boss in the game. Having a gamer spirit, she's been raising my level since she was a child. By the time she entered the academy where the game stage was set, she was level 99 already. The downside is a dark magic user, in the appearance of Yumiella to others is normal when a light magic-user vision Yumiella it appearance a mass of black fog creating a feeling of fear even the animals.
  • Dark Flame: It shoots a black and red colored flame the size of a bean, which floats slowly straight to the target. The spell looks like fire but is not hot, and melts
  • Black Hole: It creates a powerful black sphere that indiscriminately erases all matter within. a given range by controlling the gravitational field. The spell slowly increases its size over time, and as it does, even the air within its range is eliminated, causing a powerful vacuum that pulls surrounding matter into the spell. Using the spell at full power can also create a natural minuature typhoon as a side effect on the atmosphere.
  • Shadow Lance: It summons dark spikes from the ground that stick upward, and can fire rapidly into the target until it is killed.
  • Dark Bind: It summons dark hands from the ground that wrap around and completely incapacitates the target. Yumiella sometimes uses it to summon a hand to play rock-paper-scissors with.
  • Healing (Turbid fluid in anime): Dark magic which flows from the user's hands into the targeted wounds. The healing sensation is pleasant, but the downside to dark magic healing is that the process looks extremely grotesque, often frightening the people Yumiella heals.
Tamed
  • Black Dragon - Name: Ryu (リユー)
Other equipments
  • [Elixirs]: Elixirs are magical items described as time reversal artifacts rather than simple healing potions, though they were Initially introduced in the in-game lore as rare healing items. They are not consumed like potions but act as tools to manipulate time itself, restoring a target to their previous state, no matter what and complex the target is.
  • [Keep Living]: Is the pruning tool which originated from a girl who sacrificed herself to save the world by becoming the sword itself, which was then used by Kugelschreiber to manage all branches of the tree before it slipped into Yumiella's world, used to kill him off.

Trivia[]

  • Her past self died on April 2018.[1]
  • Yumiella explained that Dark magic is capable of healing just as well as Light magic. The only difference is that it's repugnant to look at in process.
  • Everyone started out avoiding her due to her Dark magic. Though over time it changes to avoiding her because of her harebrained mistakes.
  • It's unknown if Yumiella is neurodivergent from her first life or lonely and neglectful upbringing from before her memories came back warped her mind into its coocoo state.
  • Unless its light magic at a high level, Yumiella is unkillable by ANY means due to being LV 99. In fact, she only becomes angry at assassins for ruining her clothes, bedding, waking her up or risking hurt someone next to her.
    • Even poison just makes her food taste bad; it doesn't even bother her. For example, it would be like shining a light into someone's eyes if they had them closed.
